Curriculum
The department of Renal Medicine offers the resident a broad-based didactic curriculum. During the first two months of the academic year, the resident is required to attend a series of lectures and discussions aimed at providing an introduction to the field of Nephrology. Over the academic year, the department hosts a regular series of clinical conferences, including renal topic reviews, renal histopathology conferences, renal journal clubs, evidence-based medicine seminars, and a clinical renal lecture series. The resident is required to present at the teaching sessions, and participate in the teaching of medical students and junior residents on the renal consult services.
