“Sports and Exercise Medicine combine some of the most rewarding aspects of medical practice - helping athlete-patients in their journey as an athlete; a rigorous diagnostic process grounded in basic sciences; exposure to a wide range of procedural skills; and opportunities to contribute beyond clinical encounters to the community, education, and scientific knowledge. As a trainee, I appreciate the pioneering work of our predecessors. I am grateful for the opportunity to follow their footsteps and continue their work of exploration and adventure."

“In Sports Medicine, we are exposed to a wide variety of patients & athletes in various settings. Each patient is unique with different goals that they want to achieve, and we need to apply medical knowledge, exercise science and physiology principles in order give our patients the best possible care and outcome. The learning is never ending, and it is great that we get to work with many colleagues in other specialties and allied health groups in this fulfilling sub-specialty!"
