We are a team of excellent clinicians from a wide variety of medical specialties who pride ourselves in being astute general medicine practitioners. We have a track record of providing a great learning environments where high-quality teaching opportunities are numerous and consultants are supportive.

Training highlights:

  • ​Consultant-led teams provide frequent contact and opportunities for teaching
  • Acute medical assessment unit delivers exposure to unwell general medical ward patients 
  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams with weekly huddles
  • Structured core acute medicine teaching

Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

We are a dynamic and close-knit department that provides a nurturing environment for you to embark on your medical career. You will be exposed to an array of orthopaedic conditions from elective to emergency, from young sports injuries to fragility fractures. Other than clinical medicine, you will have opportunities to immerse yourself in research, medical education or medical informatics during your posting.

Department of Surgery

Surgery might be a busy posting but in Woodlands Health, but our department ensures that everyone is treated with respect and kindness. We deliver safe and patient-centered care based on our ethos of teamwork and resilience. To nurture and mentor the next generation of physicians remains one of our department core values. We hope to foster interest in surgery as a career for our young doctors.
