Introductory Message

A Pathologist examines tissue and cytology samples to diagnose the presence of or extent of disease, so as to assist other clinicians in managing and monitoring the health of their patients with illnesses. Our programme trains the resident to be a proficient Pathologist who is also able to undertake administrative duties in the Pathology Laboratory.

Facilities

The programme provides each resident with his/her individual workstation, which includes a personal computer with intranet access as well as a microscope. He/she can also access the departmental library where pathology books and archival material are available as study resources. Tutorials, lectures and most meetings are held at the Pathology Training Centre where a 20-header microscope is present for learning and teaching.
