Curriculum
The Plastic Surgery departments from Singapore’s various health institutions work closely with one another to train our future generation of Plastic Surgeons. Hence, the resident at TTSH Plastic Surgery will rotate to Plastic Surgery Units at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), National University Hospital (NUH), and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). These rotations aim to foster camaraderie within the Plastic Surgery community in Singapore and ensure that the resident benefits from the unique strengths of each unit. During the 6-year training period, the resident will be given many opportunities to participate in local and overseas conferences, workshops, and symposiums and be involved in research projects in his/her area of interest.
The Lee Kong Chian (LKC) School of Medicine is the third medical school in Singapore. This is a joint medical school of Nanyang Technological University and Imperial College London, with TTSH as the partnering hospital. In August 2013, LKC School of Medicine welcomed her inaugural batch of medical students. This collaboration between two world-class institutions and TTSH allows us to be involved in undergraduate medical education, ultimately enhancing the development of academic medicine and clinical research as a whole.
The programme is headed by the Programme Director of the Plastic Surgery Residency Programme, with the support of Clinical Core Faculty Members (CCFM) of the programme. With guidance from the Plastic Surgery Residency Advisory Committee (RAC), the three programme directors at NHG, Singhealth, and NUHS will work closely to run the Plastic Surgery Residency Programme in Singapore.

Teaching Activities
Aside from the structured clinical training, the resident will get opportunities to participate in various courses and workshops regarding patient safety, medical writing, and communications.
