Resident's Talk

“The SIG programme has been an incredible journey – from early hands-on surgical exposure to thoughtful mentorship and a shared sense of purpose among peers that makes every challenge an opportunity for meaningful growth."

Curriculum

The Surgery-in-General (SIG) Program is a 2-year common trunk programme for residents pursuing surgical specialty training in Urology.

Prospective residents apply for the surgical specialty programme, and not as general candidates for SIG. They then undergo selection interviews and matching by surgical specialty.

Successful applicants then embark on the SIG training rotations, which equip residents with knowledge in the fundamental principles of surgical practice, basic surgical skills and competencies.
